Since 2023, riba:businesstalk has been committed to the UN initiative “Global Compact” for corporate responsibility and its principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

By voluntarily becoming a member and signing the ten principles on which the UNGC is based, riba:businesstalk is committed to implementing universal sustainability principles and promoting sustainable development goals.

Human rights

  1. Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and
  2. ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Work relations

  1. Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining, and should also work for
  2. the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor,
  3. the effective abolition of child labor, and
  4. the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

  1. Businesses should deal carefully with environmental challenges,
  2. undertake initiatives to promote a more responsible approach to the environment and promote the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies and
  3. the development and dissemination of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-corruption

  1. Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
